Much of the land in and around Moloa'a and Anahola is set aside as Hawaiian Homelands, providing housing to residents of indigenous Hawaiian ancestry. Because the town sits at the base of Mt. Kalalea, Anahola can receive its fair share of passing showers. Great uncrowded beaches, world class mountain biking trails, and the best hamburgers on the island (at
Duane’s Ono Burgers) make Anahola a worthwhile exploration.
