Anini is small beach community where many of the rich and famous choose to build their multi-million dollar homes. Anini Beach is one of the safest places on the north shore to swim and snorkel year-round, as protection from the ocean swells comes from a long, fringing barrier reef that extends the length of this exclusive area. You will find Anini between the areas of Kilauea and Princeville on a narrow road that winds down to the coast.

 

While there is no lifeguard at Anini Beach, the water is typically calm and shallow and provides great snorkeling, swimming and kayaking. Anini Beach has been a favorite area for years for those learning to windsurf due to the prevailing winds and the protected lagoon. The beach is narrow but extends far enough that you are sure to be able to find your own private place to enjoy the sun and ocean. There are many old Kamani trees providing welcomed shade to portions of the beach as well as camping, restroom and shower facilities at the main beach park area.

 

The Fish Taco van parked at the beach park serves up some of the islands’ best Fish Tacos daily. You will find an assortment of fine, luxury beachfront vacation homes as well as rustic beach cottages for rent in this area. Most Anini beach rentals are usually booked months to years ahead of time, as Anini is a favorite vacation spot for many who return regularly.
