Anahola is considered the gateway to the North Shore of Kauai and is predominately a Hawaiian residential community. In addition to Hawaiian Homes Land there is a 250-acre rural community called Aliomanu Estates that is comprised of estate-size homesites resting peacefully between inspiring views of the Pacific Ocean and the distinctive Kalalea Mountain Range (used in the opening scene of Raider’s of the Lost Ark.) This beachside community is within walking distance to two of Kauai’s secluded beaches, Papa`a Bay (made famous in Disney’s movie Seven Day s & Seven Nights) and Aliomanu Beach offering excellent surfing, snorkeling and swimming. More stunning, white sand beaches can be found along the coastline in both directions including, Kealia Beach, Kumukumu Beach, Anahola Beach and Moloa`a Bay.

Crossing over the Anahola River you’ll find a post office, mini-mart and Kauai’s famous burger stand, Duane’s Ono Burger. Anahola is a small town that has retained the ambiance of an old Hawaiian village. It has a beautiful crescent shaped bay with a long, white sand beach, perfect for evening strolls. There is a protected coral reef at Anahola Beach with crystal clear water perfect for snorkeling. There are a handful of vacation rental beachfront cottages and homes along Anahola Bay. Recreational activities in the area include hiking, biking, horseback riding, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, kite boarding, boogie boarding, fishing, boating and more.
